Timberline Lodge is the only ski resort in North America that is still open for lift-serviced skiing and riding to the general public.
The high-altitude resort nestled near the summit of Oregon’s Mt. Hood is known for their summer skiing, and this season might just last longer than most.
Timberline announced on social media over the weekend that they’re extending their summer season through “late August” due to amazing snow conditions on the Palmer snowfields.
Timberline has recorded 596 inches of snow since September 1, 2021.
You just love to see it!!
Timberline Lodge: “Calling all coaches! The snow on Palmer is so amazing that we are extending our closing date to late August and we have lane space available. Make lane reservations: https://www.timberlinelodge.com/mountain/lane-reservations“
I’m wishing all of you lucky bastards who are getting summer laps at Timberline a long and happy season. I’ll be living vicariously through all of you from the sunny, humid, and very green east coast.
Enjoy.
