41-year-old personal trainer, Tim Blakey, joined Good Morning Britain to describe how his iPhone saved his life after falling into a crevasse in the Swiss Alps. Blakey was snowboarding alone off-piste at 10,000ft when he suddenly plummeted 15ft down when the ground beneath him gave way. Luckily he landed on a fragile snow bridge that saved him from tumbling to the bottom. He also discovered he had almost no battery in his phone until he remembered that pressing the on/off button 5 times on the side of his almost out-of-battery iPhone would both call emergency services and give his location. Great bit of tech knowledge that could save your life in an emergency situation. To learn more about the iPhone emergency SOS feature GO HERE
