Good news out of ‘The Land of Enchantment’ this morning.

George Brooks of Ski New Mexico is reporting that skier visits are significantly up this season compared to last.

New Mexico’s ski resorts saw 610,000 skier visits last season, and they’ve already seen 720,000 this year. That’s a good sign says Brooks, but numbers are still down since pre-pandemic when 950,000 skiers visited during the ’19-’20 season.

Brooks hopes that skier visits will continue to rise, and that the snow keeps falling. Most New Mexico ski areas have had a solid second-half of the season when it comes to snowfall, and we can back that up.

We were treated to a 37″ storm at Taos back in the beginning of February.
