The Northern Arizona Adaptive Sports Association assists anybody needing adaptive equipment to have fun out on the mountains.

They were recently up at Arizona Snowbowl, and 12 News was there to cover their excellent work (video below).

“We are a group of outdoor enthusiasts who want to share all of what Northern Arizona has to offer. We don’t want to just teach you how to ski , bike, climb, or kayak, we want to welcome you into our both our community and an active and healthy lifestyle.

NAASA is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that seeks to enrich lives through adaptive recreation. At NAASA we believe in the power and benefits of outdoor sports and we aim to create a community where everyone has equal access to enjoy all of what Northern Arizona has to offer!”

I love to see adaptive programs popping up all over the country. It makes my skier’s heart feel all warm and fuzzy inside watching adaptive athletes have a blast on the mountain.
