Okemo Mountain Resort in Ludlow, Vermont opened for the 21-22 season on November 26th, and with it comes two new lift additions. The relocated Evergreen Summit Express opened on December 4th, while the brand new Quantum Six Express opened on Saturday. The Quantum Six Express reaches the summit of Jackson Gore and gives access to the rest of the mountain. The lift replaced the bubble lift that was located in Jackson Gore, which has moved and become the Evergreen Summit Express. Some are bummed that this wasn’t a bubble chair as well, but the lift does increase capacity by 50% compared to its predecessor.

The former bubble lift that went to the summit of Jackson Gore is now over at the spot of the former Green Ridge Triple. It joins the Sunburst Six as the second bubble lift to reach Okemos “summit”(technically, the South Face Express reaches the highest point of the resort) and gets riders up in under five minutes. A new connector trail, Green Link, was sculpted to connect Jackson Gore to the Evergreen Summit Express. This new run opened up this past weekend as well. These are some nice additions for Okemo, and it should help mitigate crowds that are often seen over at Jackson Gore and at the Sunburst Six.
