On December 3rd, Club Med will open its first North American all-inclusive resort designed exclusively for winter activities. Located at Le Massif de Charlevoix in Québec, the hotel is located not only at a massive ski resort, but the hotel will also have stunning views of the St. Lawrence River. The amenities for the all-inclusive resort will include an indoor swimming pool, three restaurants, two bars, a nordic spa, fitness and yoga rooms, lift tickets and group lessons included in the stay, kids clubs, unlimited access to apres-ski activities, and more.

In terms of the actual ski resort, Le Massif de Charlevoix is one the best mountains to shred at in all of Québec. The ski resort features fifty-three runs, a terrain park, seven lifts, 2526 feet of vertical(highest vertical east of the Canadian Rockies), over two hundred and fifty inches of annual snowfall, sledding, snowshoeing, and numerous summer activities.

The property looks cool, but it doesn’t really reach that typical Club Med quality from the renderings. Also, there’s quite a bit of Native American cultural appropriation throughout the hotel for no reason. The final product could be better, but it looks like many hotels on the slopes in North America exceed the quality of the stay Club Med will provide to its guests when it opens in December.
