Waves of snow will deliver deep totals to the Western US over the next 10 days.

As you can see from this beautiful weather model production, it’s going to snow heavily nearly every day somewhere in the West. While the PNW will be favored (WA, OR, ID), the Sierra, UT, and WY should do well in the pattern too. The 10 day snowfall map is just wonderful too:

Some of these waves will feature warmer temperatures, but that’s good to continue to build the base. Cold fronts will tend to cool things down on the back end though.

Outside of the PNW this is just what we need. Utah, Colorado, and New Mexico have already seen solid totals from this first wave, with much more to come.
