A skier was momentarily caught in an avalanche on an east aspect above treeline in Mountain Boy basin near Independence Pass on November 9th. The Colorado Avalanche Information Center wants to let the backcountry public know there have been several reports of skier triggered avalanches in the past couple of days and even a small avalanche could cause serious injury as you get dragged through rocks, timber, or other obstacles. Be careful out there folks. Know Before You Go .
