Excellent mini-documentary capturing the exploits of the Bush Walruses, a scrappy crew of Kiwis tapped to build The Pike 29 Memorial Track in New Zealand. The trail was built as a living memorial to the men who died in the 2010 Pike mining disaster. It took 3 years and $12,000,000 to complete. THe track was sculpted into the landscape by passionate mountain bikers/builders and is a first-of-its-kind mountain bike track. The story of its construction is truly epic with heavy machinery operators, explosive experts and arborists joining forces towards a common goal….creating a badass MTB playground in NZ:
