The global COVID-19 pandemic has shuttered all ski resorts in the United States and Canada. So there you have it, March 26, 2020, is the official end to the 2019/20 ski season for North America.

The last ski resort to remain open was Lookout Pass Ski Area, ID which is now closed. The resort made the following statement to announce the closure, “We are following the Governors Stay at Home for 21 days order! Mtn is closed!”

The day before, Teton Pass Ski Area in Montana also announced the closure of the ski area.

“Teton is calling it for the 2019/2020 season! A huge thanks to everyone who supported the efforts this year. We could not and would not have done it with out all of you.

Stay healthy!”

In Canada, Powder King in BC was the last man standing in the Great White North. The ski area remained open until yesterday when they announced,

“Powder King is Now Closed for the Season. Office is Open for Questions.18667695464. Thank You To All! We will post a more complete post in the next 48hrs.”
