According to CNN, a 16-year-old mountain climber, Gurbaz Singh, fell 500 ft. while attempting to summit Mt. Hood in Oregon.

“On Monday morning the teen lost his grip while making his way up the Pearly Gates section of the mountain and fell 500 feet to the Devil’s Kitchen area below.”

He miraculously came out of the incident with only a broken leg. His father said that they plan to attempt to climb Mt. Hood again once his leg is healed.

We’re glad to hear that Singh survived the fall with minimal injuries. Hopefully he can summit Mt. Hood soon!
