Great to see the 10 repurposed parking meters stationed on the trails around the ski resort town of Steamboat Springs, CO put to good use. The novel payment program allows hikers and bikers on nonmotorized trails to donate to trail maintenance on the spot. They accept credit cards and there is a minimum contribution of $5. All donations will go to The Trail Maintenance Endowment Fund. For more info please visit yvcf.org/trails.
