Vail Resort’s and the Epic Pass catches a lot of flack in ski towns from Truckee to Stowe. Skiers and riders complain about the cost of passes and the overcrowding at ski hills, but Vail Resort’s Military Epic Pass is something we can all get behind.

This past year, Vail launched the Military Epic Pass. The pass makes skiing and riding for active and retired military families way more affordable. Starting at just $129 the pass has proven to be a huge success with nearly 100,000 new pass holders in the program.

“Vail Resorts continues to honor the epic service of the Company’s founders from the 10th Mountain Division, and men and women of the U.S. Armed Forces, Canadian Armed Forces and Australian Defence Force, by continuing the Military Epic Pass program into the 2019-20 season. The 2019-20 Military Epic Pass provides an incredible value for service members and their families to enjoy unlimited, unrestricted skiing at the Company’s owned and operated resorts.” – Vail Resorts

As the son of a Vietnam veteran who learned to ski at the West Point ski hill, Victor Constant Ski Area, I give this a full Unofficial endorsement.
