In 2013 British snowboarder, Jamie Barrow, reached a speed of 43.1 mph (69.4 km/hr) on a 520m long slope at the SnowWold facility in Holland. Though the speed is laughable Barrow manage to take home the title of “World’s Fastest Indoor Snowboarder”.
Talking with the BBC Barrow commented, “I’m really happy with the result and the opportunity to both train and set another record. This has given me even more confidence to push my limits and hopefully set more speed records in the future.”
So if your looking to make your mark on the world here is your chance. Fairly sure a motivated boarder with a nice wax job could crush this record in an afternoon.
