Oh boy, oh boy, oh boy– say the rumors are true. Nintendo, please– SAY THEY’RE TRUE!
Apparently some hard core N64 fans at Pixelpar recently noticed that Nintendo filed a trademark for “1080° Ten Eighty.” Fans of the classic snowboarding game think the filing might signal that execs are contemplating a rerelease. And in the era where original content is boring, it’s only natural that gamers want to play the hits.
Nintendo has filed a trademark registration for 1080° Ten Eighty.
1080° Snowboarding was first released on N64 in 1998, hitting the Wii's Virtual Console 10 years later (in 2008). The sequel "1080° Avalanche" was released on GameCube in 2003. pic.twitter.com/VJ8wcesbv8

I for one was raised on 1080 and as a skier– the game almost got me to switch disciplines completely– that is if my dad had let me decide what to ride back in the day (*he wouldn’t). All I know is that I could seriously use some Ricky Winterborn and Kensuki Kemachi in my life if the snow continues to remain absent across the western USA.
