Tired of finding out who won Olympic gold via Instagram hours before NBC even broadcasts the event? You’re not alone.

Thankfully, executives at NBC Sports recognized this as an issue and have decided to broadcast and stream the upcoming winter games completely live across time zones. “Nothing brings America together for two weeks like the Olympics, and that communal experience will now be shared across the country at the same time,” said Jim Bell, the president of NBC’s Olympics Production and Programming.

“That means social media won’t be ahead of the action in any time zone, and as a result, none of our viewers will have to wait for anything.” – Jim Bell, NBC Olympics, Production/ Programming President

The Primetime programming will start at approximately 8pm ET followed shortly after by local news and more events.

We’re gonna miss those beautiful eyes…

Also look for famous sports caster Mike Tirico to take over for the long tenured Bob Costas who apparently doesn’t like the Winter Olympics after contracting pink eye during his coverage in Sochi.
