This pair of skiers that were injured on the slopes of Colorado are looking towards the ski resort industry to improve safety measures to ensure that situations like theirs don’t happen to other people.

78-year old Katherine Jeter of Spartanburg, South Carolina, suggests requiring to watch a safety video before you buy a ticket or requiring ski insurance similar to insurance required when driving a car would improve safety conditions while on the slopes. Patricia Koenig, 65, of Eugene, Oregon, thinks installing security cameras on mountains might be a good solution to deter skiers from running away after collisions like hers.

I know full well that their suggestions are going to be met with major pushback from our readers, but maybe we can make some positive suggestions as to how we can keep each other safe and accountable while enjoying the sport we love so dearly.
