Prior to checking in at the ticket counter, most skiers have already resigned themselves to paying some sort of oversized baggage fee.

Thankfully one airline is hoping to stop all that stress by catering to skiers and snowboarders exclusively. Starting in December of 2017, PowdAir will begin offering flights from six different airports based in the UK bound for the Swiss airport of Sion. Those flights will be priced between £99-150 with ski baggage included in the fare (roughly $120-180).

Sion Airport (SIR) is currently the most popular access point for ski areas such as Verbier, Zermatt, and Crans Montana in addition to many others.

Until then, PowdAir is asking its potential passengers to fill out a survey to gauge interest in what might be their next winter destination. Americans are hoping that PowdAir chooses a US destination, ultimately replacing Frontier Airlines at some point in the near future. Fingers crossed…
