9 out of the 10 hottest years have occurred since the year 2000. The amount of Arctic Ice decreases 13.4% every year and this past month was the hottest April on record reports NASA.

That shocking news is actually not nearly as shocking as the fact that for seven consecutive months, monthly temperature records have been shattered. In fact, the last time a month recorded below average temperatures was back in 1985. However, this year heat records continue to be broken as April 2016 beat out April 2010 by .24°C!

While part of the record-breaking temperatures could be due in large part to El Niño, it’s no question that such records are also an indication of a rapidly changing climate.

Please write, call, or email your local politicians and request they #ActOnClimate before it’s too late.
