“We’re expecting several feet of new snow, up to 5 feet over the Sierra”NOAA Meteorologist, Brooke Bingaman

According to NOAA, the second half of their “parade of storms” is on its way towards the Sierra. So far, models are predicting that the system should reach peak intensity on Friday and continue through the beginning of next week.

“Snow levels will generally be around 5,000 feet this week but could lower into the foothills early next week.”NOAA Meteorologist, Brooke Bingaman
