Tip of the hat to Tyler Fairbank for this stunning time-lapse of the iconic pyramidal peak straddling the border of Switzerland and Italy.

“There is something truly majestic and somewhat eerie about the Matterhorn. After a short 3-day visit to Zermatt, Switzerland, I saw the fascination behind this mountain and began to understand why so many people have risked their lives climbing it. The Matterhorn is captivating and it’s hard to take your eyes off it (and my camera).”

For all you camera buffs out there here is how Tyler was able to pull this off…

“In the 3 days I totaled 9,323 stills. Time and hyper-lapses were all shot on the Canon 5D Mark III and Sony A7s in raw, graded in Lightroom with LightroomTL, and further stabilized, motion tracked, and whatever else was needed in After Effects CC. Final edit was cut in Premiere Pro.”
