Trip Advisor sure thinks so.
In a recent compilation of the travel website’s data, Zermatt was found to have received the most 5 star ratings of any ski resort in the world with 1,310 5 star ratings. The Swiss resort only received 7 below average reviews.
Resort Overview
Often referred to as the Aspen of Europe, Zermatt is an idyllic, car-free town that lies just below the iconic Matterhorn. The views are as picturesque as they are impressive and the skiing is just as mind-blowing. Resort officials even claim 360km of piste (although ski resort management consultant Christoph Schrahe thinks otherwise) with the longest run coming in at 26km!Â
For $82 a day, the terrain could be worse… (Costs $159 for a day ticket during peak season @Vail)
So what do you think? Is Zermatt the best ski resort in the world?
