This is how quickly a glacier can gobble you up. In this video a skier punches through a snow-bridge and falls into a crevasse on Strahlhorn in the Swiss Alps on 05/24/2015.  The skier, Roland Spilthooren, does a few things right that we should point out.

1) He was skiing with an experienced guide , “Thank you to the Swiss guide Yvan Duc and two Armand and Oriel trainees for their help.”

2) He calls for help before falling deeper into the crevasse where no one would hear him.

3) He places an ice screw into the wall to prevent him from falling deeper.

This video comes just days after we posted another video of a snowboarder falling into a crevasse in Chamonix, France.
