This has been the season of surprises! Mothers may be rejoicing on Sunday where up to 15 inches is likely at many of the Central and Northern mountains of Colorado.  Most areas are closed in the West however here is your last chance for Snowbird while A-Basin remains open in Colorado. Light snow will fall over 10,000 feet early this weekend over the Wasatch and most of Colorado and theTetons.  Moderate snow is likely for northern Utah late Friday night and Saturday (3-6 above 8,000 feet).  Light snow continues in the Wasatch and Tetons thorugh Sunday (1-3). Happy Mothers Day!  Keep reading.

Heavy snow will be falling Saturday afternoon through Sunday morning over a good portion of I-70 in Colorado impacting areas from Aspen to the Front range.  Highest amounts will fall from Summit County through Roncky Mountain National Park, Berthoud Pass, Estes Park (12-18) and evenVail Pass.   Light snow early this weekend turns heavy Saturday night.  Mothers get lucky on Sunday! Get her up eary Sunday, ride some powder, and head to Lunch in your ski clothes!   I authorize the outfits in any restaurant you choose.  We approve!  Send us pictures of your Powder and Chowdah.

There have been many seasons when surprises come in May.  Snowbird closes this weekend so hopefully you can hang on to your memories of faceshots through next season.
