Girdwood, Alaska— Alyeska had a stellar season, as the ski resort received 740″ of snow at the top of the Glacier Bowl Express. However, on the final day of the 2023-24 season, most of the terrain was closed.

An avalanche from the night before resulted in Alyeska closing the Aerial Tram, Glacier Bowl Express, and Ted’s Express lifts for the day. The photos above from Reddit user @akairborne show the extent of the slide. Luckily, there were no casualties.
