Wild footage out of Alberta, Canada where Banff resident James Hardy captured footage of a grizzly bear emerging from the woods while skiing at Lake Louise Ski Resort.
Rocky Mountain Outlook reports the incident happened on April 24th at around 3 p.m. on Cameron’s Way trail. Ski resort officials were alerted to the grizzly’s presence and quickly shutdown the area:
“We were able to manage lifts and terrain closures to keep guests separate without the need to force the bear anywhere. As soon as it was off the leasehold, we resumed normal operations.” -Leigha Stankewich, Lake Louise Marketing & Communications Manager
No further grizzly bear sightings have been reported at Lake Louise since.
