REVELSTOKE CONDITIONS TODAY:
– 19cms (7.5”) of new snow overnight and during the day today
– 71cms (28”) in the past 7 days
– Heavier, wetter, better for hucking snow
– Much warmer temperatures today
– Low visibility and moderate winds up top
– Dense, goggle-sticking fog down low
– Pillows were in prime conditions today with the heavier snow
– The storm seemed to get stronger as the day progressed
WHERE THE SKIING WAS BEST TODAY:
– “Kill the Banker” was perfect today if you like dropping pillows and skiing through them wildly with no control
– North Bowl had deeper snow than most anywhere else on the mountain and the boys were hucking big
– 5,000 foot runs skier’s left off the top of Stoke chair down to the mid-station of gondy in untouched snow were silly
CROWD FACTOR:
– Even bigger line than yesterday to start the day off; over a 1/4 mile long (but, it goes pretty quick)
– There was a line for the Stoke chair for 2 runs, then there was no lines anywhere the rest of the day
OVERALL:
– Today was the best day we’ve had here since we arrived on January 5th
– Deep snow, pillows, hucks, face-shots, 5,000 foot long fresh powder runs
– “Kill the Banker” and North Bowl shone brightest
