More than enough snow to ski on!

Climbing and mountain biking was so last month, it’s time to ski again!  Weather you agree with that statement or not, we are skiers and boarders at heart and there is still snow in ‘Dem Der Hills.’  And it is ASKING to be skied.

After working many hours of overtime, I was in need of some ski therapy despite being overwhelmed with sore muscles and exhaustion.  The question of where to partake in ski therapy was not much of a decision since the Tram at Snowbird just opened for summer operations.  As with in the winter, the tram windows make for a great viewing platform to scope out a line.  The choice was Pipeline Bowl.

Pipeline turned out to be a great ski choice with relatively easy access and clean snow with few rocks, just the occasional boulder that had fallen from above.  Currently to access the bowl, take the tram to Hidden Peak and hike halfway down The Road to Provo to were there is another week or more of snow left on the cat track.  Now just ski to the bottom of Mark Malu (not very smooth snow, very sun affected.)   Once at the small pond at the bottom take short walk over the rocks (without falling on your face, another story) to the bottom of Pipeline Bowl and boot up to the top.

Enjoy your turns back down, I took large turns that were amazingly fun after a month of no turns.

Has anyone else been skiing lately?  How was it?
