Jimmy Chin is a legend.  Both in the climbing and photography worlds.  If you’re a climber, he’s a idol.  If you’re a photographer, you’re insanely jealous.

Jimmy has gotten to travel the world climbing and taking photos.  In his downtime, he’s a Yosemite climbing bum.

BASE jumping, slacklining over preposterous exposure, skateboard rope swings, banjos, California.  Not such a bad life.

If you’ve never been to Yosemite, this video should call to you more than just a bit.  If you’ve been, you now know that it’s time to return.  Yosemite climbing season is here.

“As a climber sometimes our biggest job is to try to do justice to the amazing stories of our friends and peers. For this piece I worked with our crew at camp4collective.com to tell thenorthface.com athlete Jimmy Chin’s jimmychin.com story as he in turn highlights modern day climbing in Yosemite for a National Geographic feature story.

It seemed so serendipitous to be ‘on assignment’ in a place that we all cut out teeth as adventurers and which also ended up becoming the namesake of our collective!” – the north face
