Due to potential head injury hazzard from insufficient shock absorbing and resistance to penetration, Uvex Funride ski helmets are now being voluntarily recalled. It is illegal to sell or resell a recalled cosumer product said the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission and Health Canada, in cooperation with Swix Sport USA and Uvex Sports. Consumers should stop using the recalled products immediately.

Made in China, close to 1000 recalled helemts were sold between January 2009 and April 2011 at ski shops across the country. Recalled helmets will have the code “S-58B” or “S-58C” on the inside label.

If you have purchased one of the helmets return it to the store you bought is from immediately. Expect a full refund, or store credit depending on the shop you purchased the helmet at.
