After kicking some serious ass last weekend, Tahoe takes a break an gives us NOTHING this weekend to do at night. Hurtful, isn’t it? But there are two fun events that can be participated within or gaped at:
Saturday – Sunday, April 2-3 – Twisted Sisters Freeride Comp at Kirkwood. 10-3pm each day. 4-6pm party at Bub’s on Saturday. $30 entry fee. This is a funky little comp where you ski a little big mountain then hit a couple jibby man-mades. Sounds kinda fun. Local Squaw skier’s and GNAR The Movie participants involved: Greg Lindsey, George Hjelte, Maty Jackson. http://www.kirkwood.com/site/events/4frnts-twisted-sisters
Sunday, April 3 – Billy Dutton Uphill. $20 entry fee. Begins at 8am at the Funitel. This is a Chinese Uphill. You can climb on whatever you bring, it don’t matter none. This race goes up 2000’ from the bottom of KT-22 to High Camp. http://www.squaw.com/billy-dutton-uphill
Over a week out, but The Mother Hips is coming to CBC next Friday, April 8th. This is our first good band in Tahoe in a WHILE!
