A new ski resort in Utah will open this season making it the states 15th ski resort. Cherry Peak Resort will be located just 3.7 miles from downtown Richmond on the Utah/Idaho boarder. The resort owners plan on have 3 lifts up and running  for the winter ski season. The hill is modest for western resort standards, with 1265 ft total vertical and it’s longest run being 1.25 miles, but the resort will offer night skiing so you can rack up your vert. Season passes are on sale and start at $315 for adults. Day tickets are just $42.
