  2. I applaud the passholders for coming together and forming a group. I predict this will be a new trend through out the ski industry. Passholders play a big role in a ski resort’s finances, especially in the off season and thus should have their voice heard.

Way back in ’02, I wrote my senior thesis at Middlebury on this very issue (but focused on VT resorts)! My favorite quote is from Aldo Leopold, who sagely wrote, “We abuse land because we regard it as a commodity to us. When we see land as a community to which we belong, we may begin to use it with love and respect.”

If the pass holders and community can unite and stand strong with a loud voice they will have an impact on the direction the resort goes. Stand strong and loud! Recently the local voice was heard in Telluride skiers were thus aloud to ski a much revered terrain once again.
