New England skiers and snowboarders looking to get ready for winter without breaking the bank won’t want to miss this event. Snowvana is bringing its massive ski swap and winter kickoff festival to Massachusetts for the first time, taking over the Royal Plaza Trade Center in Marlborough on November 6-8.

The three-day event will feature thousands of discounted skis, snowboards, boots, and apparel, exclusive lift-ticket deals, representatives from dozens of ski resorts, live music, film screenings, contests, and plenty of other winter festivities. The New England debut comes following successful shows in Seattle and Portland, marking the third stop on Snowvana’s four-city 2026 tour.

Founded in 2016, Snowvana has spent the past decade bringing skiers and snowboarders together through a combination of traditional ski swaps, gear sales, and winter kickoff celebrations. The New England event also aims to keep the roughly 60-year tradition of ski shows in the Boston area alive.

Thousands of Skis & Snowboards Available at Discounts Up to 70%

One of the biggest attractions will undoubtedly be Snowvana’s massive gear sale and ski swap. The event will feature more than 15,000 square feet of equipment and apparel, with thousands of new, discontinued, and gently used products available at discounts of up to 70%.

Shoppers can expect to find skis, snowboards, boots, outerwear, accessories, and other winter essentials from local retailers and major manufacturers. Participating retailers include Play It Again Sports, Colorado Ski Shop, and Ski and Sport Shack.

The popular Cream of the Swap Demo Center will also return, featuring barely used 2025/26 and 2026/27 manufacturer demo skis from brands including Armada, Salomon, Rossignol, Atomic, and Elan. These premium products will be discounted by 40-60%, but quantities are limited. Friday’s Early Access period gives shoppers the first opportunity to browse the inventory before general admission begins.

New for the New England show is a public consignment swap benefiting the Ski Ward Race Team. Local skiers and snowboarders can sell their own quality equipment through the program and receive a complimentary admission ticket.

38 Ski Resorts, Film Premieres & Live Entertainment

Snowvana will also bring together 38 ski resorts from across New England and the rest of the country. Attendees will have opportunities to meet resort representatives, explore winter destinations, and take advantage of exclusive lift-ticket discounts and lodging packages. Some of the featured New England destinations include Killington, Waterville Valley, Loon Mountain, Wachusett, Saddleback, Jay Peak, and Mount Snow.

The entertainment lineup includes live interviews hosted by Stuart Winchester of the Storm Skiing Journal. Friday’s interview will feature Indy Pass owner Erik Mogensen, while Saturday’s discussion will include Killington owner Phill Gross and CEO Mike Solimano. On Sunday, Worcester Telegram and Gazette snow sports writer Shaun Sutner will sit down with Wachusett Mountain’s third-generation leadership team, Courtney Crowley and Chris Stimpson.

The iF3 International Freesports Film Festival will also bring a curated collection of ski and snowboard films to the event, with screenings available throughout the weekend at no additional cost.

Other attractions include the Atomic Frozen T-Shirt Contest, a Pray for Snow Dance, sumo wrestling competitions, live music, giveaways, and the Ski Massachusetts First Turns Pavilion. The latter will feature Wachusett Mountain’s Learn to Ski Ramp, giving younger attendees and beginners an opportunity to experience skiing.
