Park City, Utah โ€” The trail map that skiers have been waiting for has arrived.

Today, Deer Valley Resort revealed its updated trail map for the 2025-26 ski season. This map is an update to the original 2024-25 trail map from Rad Smith.

The prior year’s version included shaded areas where the terrain that opened this season was. This updated map includes the new trail and lift names.

Takeaways From The New Map

  • No Double Black Diamonds: Deer Valley’s expansion will feature some steep terrain, particularly around the top of Park Peak, but it won’t be of double black difficulty. The South Peak portion of the expansion, which will feature that type of terrain, will open during later phases.
  • The Signature Run:ย Out of the nearly 80 new runs that are opening this winter, the marquee trail will be Redemption. The advanced intermediate bears resemblance to Stein’s Way, as resort officials have praised it for its great fall-line skiing and majestic views.
  • Best Terrain Pods For Each Ability Level: For beginners, the best terrain pod will now be at the Pinyon Express at Park Peak. The easy terrain pod can be reached by going on the East Village Gondola. Intermediate skiers will enjoy the terrain on Dutch Peak, along with the improved accessibility from the terrain that opened last year, thanks to the Galena Express. For advanced skiers, there are various black diamond trails situated off the East Village Gondola and the Revelator Express.
  • No Hail Peak: The best-looking terrain visible from Highway 80 is Hail Peak, which features some steep pitches leading back to the base. This terrain won’t open this season, as accessing it would basically mean you’re in an area that you can’t reach a lift from. This new terrain will open with a high-speed chairlift during the 2026-27 season.

Deer Valley is projected to open on December 1st for the 2025-26 season. Before then, a couple of preview days are planned for passholders.
