Chile — Although Chile experienced a dry July, Valle Nevado is still enjoying a memorable winter, thanks to significant offseason improvements and recent snowfall. Even with the dry weather, the snowpack at Valle Nevado was still in great shape thanks to the snow received in June. With recent snowfall, Valle Nevado is in even better shape for the final stretch of the season.
In the past week, Valle Nevado saw over five feet of snow. With a major dump last week, along with more snow potentially on the way, the last month of their ski season is shaping up to be memorable. Even when it’s not snowing, spring skiing will lead to sunny days on the slopes, which means soft snow and shredding in balmy weather.
The weeks ahead will also be event-filled at Valle Nevado. First is the IF3 Film Festival on August 30th, which will feature showings of various skiing and snowboarding films. During Wellness Week (September 10-13), the ski resort will offer activities and classes for guests seeking a conscious, deep, and restorative break that helps them focus and remain calm. During Chile’s National Holiday (Fiestas Patrias) celebration on September 18th and 19th, there will be traditional games, a clown competition, and spring skiing.
As the season winds down, there are still great deals to be had. For lodging, Valle Nevado’s Puerta de Sol is offering 30% stays from September 28th to October 5th. This ski and stay package includes breakfast, dinner, and lift tickets.
Those who have a multi-mountain pass also have access to great deals. Skiers and riders who have an Ikon, Power, or Mountain Collective pass get free skiing and riding at Valle Nevado. Those on the Power Pass also get access to Valle Nevado’s next-door neighbor: La Parva. All these passes include discounts on lodging, among other products at Valle Nevado.
If you’re still on the fence, here’s a sound piece of advice: there’s no better way to prepare for the 2025-26 ski season than actually going skiing. Click here to book your Valle Nevado trip.
