Corbet's couloir without the snow.

JACKSON HOLE, Wyoming – We’ve all seen Corbet’s Couloir in the winter at this point, but have we all seen what it looks like when there’s no snow on the ground? It feels almost unrecognizable, but gives a newfound appreciation for how much of a beast the legendary run actually is.

I’d love to stand in it in these conditions, just to see how it feels. There’s certainly not much summer recreation possible in the couloir. Even biking it is limited to when there’s snow on the ground. Still, it would be cool to get in there and have a good look around. I wonder if there’s any missing ski gear lost among the rocks…
