Several Colorado ski resorts saw some serious snowfall this weekend, with over two feet touching the ground at areas over the past few days. While the snowfall obviously brought several proper powder days, it also means a boost to the state’s snowpack and resort base depths.
At least seven ski areas in the state have a snow depth above six feet. Some areas measure differently than others, considering mid-mountain depth or summit depth rather than village depth. We’ve gone ahead and collected the snow depths at each mountain, so you can easily figure out which resorts have the most snow after the recent storms.
Colorado’s Deepest Base Depths:
Steamboat Ski Resort: 112 inch base at the summit, 70 inch base at the base area.
Vail Ski Resort: 78 inch base depth.
Copper Mountain: 76 inch base depth.
Loveland Ski Area: 76 inch base depth at mid-mountain.
Winter Park Resort: 76 inch base at the summit, 75 inch base at the village.
Aspen Highlands: 75 inch base depth.
Arapahoe Basin: 73 inch base depth.
