The Green Mountain Falls/Chipita Park Fire Department, along with AMR Colorado Springs and Pikes Peak, conducted a rather terrifying rescue at the summit house of Pikes Peak this past weekend, pushing through brutal winds and some pretty rough road conditions.

Though very little is actually revealed about the situation itself, we do know the patient was successfully transported to the hospital.

If I was that ambulance driver, I’m not sure that I’d be willing to make that drive (I guess that’s why I’m not an ambulance driver). Huge props to everyone involved in this rescue, few people would want to put in that kind of work, and we applaud you all.

“All this wind created a very tricky response this afternoon to the Summit House of Pikes Peak. Grateful for the teamwork of Pikes Peak – America’s Mountain, and AMR – Colorado Springs/El Paso County as they successfully brought the patient down and transported to the hospital.” Green Mountain Falls/Chipita Park Fire Department
