Wild footage taken by a drone flying in waters off West O‘ahu on Sunday morning.  With what starts a mellow video, the drone hovers over the lineup and starts tracking a longboarder who is urgently motioning for the drone to film behind him. The pilot responds to the signal and catches an unnerving scene…a 6-to-8 foot shark passing directly under a surfer.

KHON2 reports as soon as the shark was spotted one of drone operators friends used a megaphone to alert the lineup while another blasted a whistle to signal people out the water. He kept his drone trained on the shark  so that everyone could know when it swam back into the deep.
