K2 is one of the most well-know brands in skiing across the globe.
The brand is credited for revolutionizing the fiberglass ski, and has been in business since 1962.
Like every brand in the ’90s, K2 was a participant in the gaudy artwork style that was seen on billboards, advertisements, packaging, and even Styrofoam cups.
Marketing strategies were all about flash back then.

Now, in 2021 (2020 episode 2), K2 has collaborated with Sean Pettit to slap a topsheet tribute to the K2 Merlin 7 from 1998 on the new Mindbender 108Ti LTD.

I’m all-in on retro topsheet graphics, but I’m hopeful that K2 will choose something a little more vibrant next time around.
Good effort on bringing some retro colors back to life, but I have to agree to Dave on this one…
Not sold on bringing this graphic back. 🤷♂️ pic.twitter.com/RDlhVsl9X5

The 108Ti LTD graphic has a nice pop, but I want something like the K2 5500 Triaxial graphic on a big freeride ski.
You can’t tell me that wouldn’t be sick.
