If you are wondering where the heartbeat of Sled Dogging was in 2018 I have found it but you have to go way up north to Suomutunturi, Finland to meet this madman Jari-pekka Rahkonen.
Jari-pekka is training to set the official World Record for Sled Dog Speed on April 15th at Salla Ski Resort, in the Lapland region and his absolute dedication to this forgotten sport fires me up.
Say what you will about Sled Dogging but don’t underestimate what clocking 62mph+ on a pair of glorified ski boots would require. Best of luck Jari-pekka!
