As winter approaches, the ski pass wars continue to heat up.
Today, the Indy Pass announced a new add-on pass that will give passholders three additional days at a select number of its ski resort partners. For adults, it will cost $179 for Indy Plus Add-On passholders, $199 for Indy Plus passholders, $229 for the Base Pass Add-On, and $249 for the Indy Base Pass.
You can use the three additional days at one resort or spread them across different mountains.
“We’re thrilled about what this means for passholders and for some of our largest resort partners,” said Indy Pass Director Erik Mogensen. “The Destination Upgrade gives families more time at some of the best destinations on our pass for far less than a mega pass costs. Skiers want to put their money behind independent mountains, and now they can do that while enjoying a longer trip.”

The participating ski resorts for this upcoming winter are as follows:
United States
- 49° North Mountain Resort, WA
- Brundage Mountain Resort, ID
- Powderhorn Mountain Resort, CO
- Red Lodge Mountain, MT
- Silver Mountain Resort, ID
- Tamarack Mountain Resort, ID
Canada
- Big White Ski Resort, BC
- Castle Mountain Resort, AB
Europe
- Innsbruck Region, Austria
- Kaunertal Glacier, Austria
- Leukerbad Torrent, Switzerland
- Pitztal Glacier, Austria
- SkiWelt Wilder Kaiser – Brixental, Austria
This new offering benefits both sides of the spectrum. Some Indy skiers want to have more days on the slopes, especially at the bigger destinations out West. For the mountains, it gives them additional revenue, which keeps them on the Indy Pass. This offering allows Indy to stand out from major destination passes like Ikon and Epic.
“Independence is the key to our success,” said Michael J. Ballingall, Senior Vice President of Big White Ski Resort. “We’ve been asked many times to join the big corporate ticket programs, but we’ve chosen to remain independent. Our hotels, restaurants and transportation services are run by local owner-operators and families who have been part of this community for years. That’s what makes the experience special. The people running the resort are the people you’ll meet over coffee, helping kids on the magic carpets or working in the rental shop. We look forward to hosting new and returning Indy Passholders to one of Canada’s largest ski resorts.”
