Robin Goomes made history at Red Bull Rampage on Thursday, October 8th, becoming the first rider to win three consecutive titles in the event’s history. The New Zealand mountain biker claimed victory at the 25th anniversary edition of the freeride mountain biking competition in Virgin, Utah, finishing ahead of American Hannah Bergemann and Canadian Kirsten Van Horne.

The 2026 women’s competition returned to the original Red Bull Rampage venue where the event first took place in 2001. This year also marked the first time men and women competed from the same start gate with riders tackling the tallest venue in the event’s history across 90 acres of rugged terrain and more than 200 meters of vertical descent.

Goomes Delivers Historic Winning Run

Goomes secured her third consecutive championship with a spectacular second run that earned a score of 93.50. Her ride featured a flat spin 360 on an upper jump, a backflip off a massive step-down and a backflip cancan near the bottom of the course.

“Winning once was something I never thought I could accomplish, so winning this third title is a dream. All I knew this year is that if I wanted to do it again, I’d have to push harder than I’ve ever done and be better than I have been previously.” – Robin Goomes

Bergemann and Van Horne Complete the Podium

Bergemann finished second for the second consecutive year, narrowly missing the victory by just 0.75 points. Her opening run scored 91.25 and featured a backflip near the top, a massive drop and a suicide no-hander at the finish. She followed with another strong performance, scoring 92.75 on her second attempt.

Van Horne rounded out the podium with a score of 86.50. Her controlled run through technical chutes and exposed ridgelines earned third place.
