The Snow League has announced its roster for Season Two, bringing together 60 athletes for a competition schedule spanning Colorado, Utah and Switzerland. The lineup features 15 Olympic medalists with a combined 26 Olympic medals, including eight golds, alongside all four defending Snow League World Champions.
Founded by three-time Olympic gold medalist Shaun White, the professional halfpipe league will feature men’s and women’s snowboard and freeski competitions at every event. Reigning 2026 Olympic champions Eileen Gu, Yuto Totsuka and Gaon Choi headline the field as the league prepares for an expanded second season.
Snowboard and Freeski Stars Return
In men’s snowboarding, Totsuka will face stiff competition from fellow Japanese riders Ayumu Hirano and Ryusei Yamada, alongside American contenders Alessandro Barbieri and Jake Pates. Australia’s Valentino Guseli will also make his Snow League halfpipe debut.
The women’s snowboard field features a compelling matchup between defending league champion Sena Tomita and Olympic champion Gaon Choi. American standout Maddie Mastro, Japanese teenager Sara Shimizu and 15-year-old Chinese rider Patti Zhou will also compete. Shimizu won the final two events of Season One, while Zhou earned her first full-time roster spot after winning at Yunding Snow Park.
In freeski, defending champions Gu and Luke Harrold return to headline their respective fields. The men’s competition also includes two-time Olympic gold medalist David Wise, three-time Olympic medalist Nick Goepper and Olympic silver medalist Gus Kenworthy. On the women’s side, Gu will reunite with Olympic medalists Fanghui Li and Zoe Atkin, bringing the entire 2026 Olympic halfpipe podium into the competition.
Three Events Scheduled for 2027
Season Two will expand the freeski field from 16 to 24 athletes, with eight wildcards joining the qualified competitors at each event. The league’s head-to-head format will continue, with athletes battling through elimination rounds for individual championship points.
The three-day event format will include qualifying on the opening day, quarterfinals on the second day, and semifinals and finals on the third day.
The season will begin at Buttermilk at Aspen Snowmass in Colorado from January 7 to 9, 2027. The league will then travel to Park City Mountain in Utah from January 21 to 23 before concluding at LAAX in Switzerland from March 11 to 13.
All events will stream live in the United States on Peacock and worldwide on The Snow League’s YouTube channel. NBC will also broadcast encore presentations of each competition. Tickets for the Aspen and Park City events are expected to go on sale later in October, with LAAX tickets following later in the fall.
