Seattle, Washington — Airline companies are always trying to one-up each other when it comes to rewards. These airlines tend to offer their own credit cards, which help flyers earn points and eventually get free flights. Alaska Airlines debuted its Atmos Rewards last year. Alaska offers various experiences, but you’ll need a lot of points to get them.

This week, Alaska Airlines announced new experiences being offered through Atmos Unlocked (part of Atmos Rewards). For those not in the know, Atmos Unlocked allows members to use points to acquire travel experiences.

Here’s how it works: Atmos Rewards members can use points to bid on a CMH heli-skiing experience. There are other options that let you buy an experience with a very large number of points. These offerings include an Ikon (full or base pass) with additional benefits, a ski trip to Olympic Valley, and a day at Steamboat with perks. Other experiences, such as a ski trip to Alyeska or the Canadian Rockies, have already sold out.

Crystal Mountain

With it being one of the closest ski resorts to Seattle, Crystal Mountain will have a partnership with Alaska Airlines. There will be Atmos Members Day at the ski resort, with brand activations planned for members to participate in. So if you’re a frequent Crystal Mountain skier who also likes flying Alaska, it’s something to keep an eye out for this upcoming winter.
