Waterville Valley Resort officially broke ground on a new Outdoor Adventure Zone in New Hampshire, marking a major expansion of the resort’s year-round recreation offerings.
The project is located at 135 Valley Road near Corcoran Pond in Waterville Valley and is targeting a Spring 2027 opening. The development will combine several family-focused attractions with a new three-story Adventure & Nordic Center. Construction of the new 18-hole mini golf course has already been completed. The course will feature landscaping and water features as it winds through the Adventure Zone.
New Adventure Attractions Coming To Waterville Valley
The centerpiece of the development will be the three-story Adventure & Nordic Center. The building will house guest services, activity check-in, Nordic and mountain bike operations, retail, food and beverage, and additional recreation space.
Several outdoor attractions will surround the building. A new adventure maze will stand nearly 12 feet tall and stretch more than 60 feet in each direction. The reconfigurable maze will feature four checkpoints and two elevated viewing platforms, allowing the layout and challenges to change throughout the year.
The project will also include a three-tier aerial adventure course known as the Sky Trail. The course will feature elevated obstacles including a rolling log, Roller Rail, five Sky Rails and a Walk the Plank challenge.
Younger visitors will have their own attractions, including an outdoor Sky Tykes course positioned less than three feet above the ground. An indoor play area will also be located inside the Adventure & Nordic Center.
A Four-Season Destination
Waterville Valley Resort says the Outdoor Adventure Zone is designed to provide more opportunities for families to visit throughout the year while establishing the Corcoran Pond area as a major recreation hub.
The development also supports the town’s master plan for the area and is intended to strengthen year-round tourism.
With the mini golf course complete and foundation work underway, construction is expected to accelerate in the coming months. The Outdoor Adventure Zone remains on track for a Spring 2027 opening.
