More than 100 chairlifts from Aspen Mountain have hit the auction block including 100 Bell Mountain Chairs and 15 Little Nell Chairs.
“Each chair carries more than nostalgia. Every dollar raised goes toward strengthening our democracy—funding voter registration, get-out-the-vote efforts, and the protection of voting rights—alongside climate action.”
The auction runs until July 19th with opening bids of $250 for The Little Nell chairs and $500 for Bell Mountain chairs (nationwide shipping available). Aspen Snowmass has also partnered with Buckhorn Public Arts to have 10 chairs reimagined into unique pieces of art. These art chairs are also available for auction online with bids starting at $2,500 per chair.

Aspen Snowmass is donating an additional two dozen chairs to community organizations including Aspen School District, Aspen Center for Environmental Studies (ACES), Aspen Hope Center, Ski Noir, and others for display or for use in their own charity auctions. There is also an Aspen One employee raffle for 75 chairs, with raffle tickets available to employees for $10 each. Proceeds from the raffle will also support organizations and candidates working toward climate action and democratic integrity. Check out the auction here.
