Conditions were optimal with perfect weather and high-quality snow up to 8530 feet elevation at Les Deux Alpes Ski Resort in France where 1,073 riders from 27 different countries participated in the legendary Mountain of Hell downhill bike race.

Hosted every summer at Les Deux Alpes, France, this legendary downhill race begins with a high altitude mass start with over 1,000 riders (a mix of amateurs and pros) who fiercely battling it out on a snowy 11,200 foot glacier. Once the riders hit dirt and pack thins, they are faced with a 17 mile course descending 8,200 feet through variable terrain including snow, ice, gravel, and mud.

“From wipeouts on ice to elbow-to-elbow chaos at full speed, this race is pure adrenaline.”

This 2026 edition of the Mountain of Hell was massive success thanks to all the athletes, local institutions, technical teams, rescue services, and passionate volunteers whose commitment and enthusiasm made it one to remember.

Here is the full top to bottom winning run from professional rider Kimi Viardot. Viardot’s victory came 10 years after his first Mountain of Hell and was a full 25 minute battle to the podium. Congratulations to Kimi!
