Inglis, Manitoba — A Manitoba ski resort’s offseason will now feature lots of cleanup following a once-in-a-lifetime flood.
Last week, the Canadian provinces of Manitoba and Saskatchewan suffered notable flooding. The impacts from this also affected Manitoba’s largest ski resort. Asessippi Ski Area & Resort shared photos and videos of the flooding. It shows that the lower mountain being under water due to overflow from the nearby Lake of the Prairies.
It’s unclear how much damage this flood has caused, but cleanup will likely be needed around the base terminals of some lifts.

Manitoba’s largest ski resort features 26 trails, 4 lifts, and a vertical drop of 120 meters (394 feet). There’s also night skiing during a limited number of days each wintr, with nine trails being lit. Other activities include snow tubing, snowshoeing, and snow biking.
